Demo needed - how in Earth does it look like

Very nice and professionally looking product guys, but
before I (we?) can go any further, can I have a glance at it?
My creditcard (of apple account nowadays) is itching, but
what can I expect? Or are you first waiting for some orders
prior to give more attention to your website. Currently I am
hessitating a bit.

Other questions that are unanswered:
What if you buy the ProRemote Light Edition version first,
and decide to go for the full one, is there an upgrade policy.
There should be one to my opinion, but perhaps it is
impossible due to technical reasons. Fair enough, then a
refund?

I think you are Far Out indeed and made a nice tool, with
some great future perspectives. The 'outside' is looking
great, fantastic feature list, but let's now have a look at the
'inside'. Please provide a video demo, screenshots, and... o,
just a commercial hint, you need somebody to work on that
website!

YouTube and demo

Ah, I see a link to a YouTube clip now, but what a pity.... no
sound!?

Also, why not provide a demo version where you can have a
look at this classy thing, but not being able to use it of
course.

So please make a free version with the wireless abilities cut
out,
post it on iTunes, and make us wild!

When we get some free time we will post a demo version.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Excellent! I think that would be most beneficial for the
business as well!
Keep up the good work in 2009. All the best,
Picard.

Thanks for the wishes. This next release (due out any
minute now) will also have a demo version. I think the
demo will run for 5 minutes and then fog. Also I'm thinking
of disabling the stop button for the demo version.

A free DEMO version has been submitted to Apple for
approval. It should be out perhaps by next week at the
latest. The demo version is limited in that you can't scroll
the mixer view and you can't press stop. The software also
times out after 5 minutes. Hope this helps!

I'm very sorry to report that Apple has rejected my Demo
version and will not allow it to be released. Here is the full
text:

Hello Far Out Labs LLC,

ProRemote Demo cannot be posted to the App Store at this
time.

1. ProRemote Demo cannot be posted because it is a demo
version. Any reference to demo or beta needs to be
removed from the binary and metadata. Free or "Lite"
versions are acceptable, however the application must be a
fully functional app and cannot reference features that are
not implemented.

In addition, the application cannot be time-limited, as
demonstrated by the screen shot enclosed.

2. When network configurations and server control
processes are not pre-set in the desktop application's
Preference Panel, and the "Other" button is selected in
ProRemote Demo, the user is not notified that a network
connection is required.

Please take a look at the Reachability iPhone program
sample which demonstrates the use of the System
Configuration Reachability API to detect the absence of WiFi
and Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) services. Your
application can then take appropriate action at the first point
where network services are required.

Regards,

iPhone Developer Program
