Selecting new Takes in DP

I am working a lot with ProRemote - as you can tell from the
frequency of my posts - that have all gone unanswered btw. It
would be great to be able to select a new take as now that's the
only reason I have to get up and walk all the way across the
room - to select a new take for overdubbing or tracking.

Sometimes there is a shortcut key that you can assign for this task. I
know that in ProTools you can do shift+track select to create a new
take (I think, don't hold me to this). However I learned this from
reading the control surfaces manual that came with ProTools. Perhaps
there is a similar doc for Digital Performer that documents its HUI
support. There is also a pretty vibrant DP community out there that
seems to know much more than I do about DP!

You can also cheat and just use the Mouse pad feature to click on DP
itself or issue a command key from the remote keyboard in ProRemote.
I know- it's not as nice as a single key press but we don't control how
DP responds to the MIDI commands we send. Every DAW is different!

So as a still novice with PR and any control surface apps, I can
assign user key commands for PR to respond to? That's cool. I
wish there was some documentation for this stuff.
