Are there any instructions for ProRemote?

From what I've seen so far, this app is pretty much useless, just a
glorified remote fader. If there's a way to start and stop recording
via the app, for example, I can't find it.

Are there any instructional videos, or any kind of instructions, for
this app? I don't find the interface particularly intuitive, and what's
on the developer's site and YouTube is worthless.

If anyone knows of any source of instruction for this thing,
especially how to record remotely from a booth, please let me
know. The help would be very much appreciated.

Unfortunately we don't have any docs of our own. There's a few reasons for this but
mainly it is because ProRemote is simply an emulator as you pointed it. It emulates a
Mackie HUI controller or a Mackie Universal controller depending on which software you
use it with.

For some basics: Tap where the channel names are, this brings up the mini-transport.
You can use that to start and stop your recordings. You can also bring up the 'big
transport' which emulates a Tranzport controller. You can do this via the view tab bar,
this can be brought up by tapping the 'v' bottom in the lower left corner of the screen. I'm
assuming you are using the full version of ProRemote.

Have a look at this link here for some advanced tips on the control surface itself- this can
be applied to ProRemote:

(I'm assuming you are using ProTools). If you have other issues, feel free to contact our
tech support. You can email us from within the app (tap the 'i' button in the lower right
corner, then tap on the copyright info, then press "email us" button near the bottom of the
credits screen)...
