What are the plans for a Windows version of the ProRemote server. I got somewhat over excited and downloaded the handheld app before checking the server host requirements !!

These are both planned but I have to finish up Mac support
first and it has been slow coming due to me injuring both
my arms.

Please ask Apple for a refund and tell them that you didn't
read the requirements. Don't let them hold onto your money
while I do my thing! Work has been slow and physically
painful so Windows won't be till next summer at best.

To be honest I just started doing the research to figure out
how long this will take to do. I really want to support
Windows so it's very high on the list and my feature back log
is almost complete so I hope to announce something soon.

I'm currently running PTle 7.4 on WinXP (Digi002r) and this app is exactly what I have been looking for.
I run a small studio for both mastering and recording and I play multiple instruments placed throughout the studio. Being able to control my Protools rig from anywhere in the studio will dramatically improve my productivity and creativity so I am EAGERLY awaiting the Windows release.

I'm also running CM Labs Motormix and MotorMate control surfaces so will this app work in conjunction with those?

Finally, will this support Windows Vista and 7 OS's as well as XP? I have yet to upgrade to PT8 but from what I have heard, it won't run on WinXP.

Still researching Windows. The plan is to support XP, Vista and 7. I just don't know how much work that entails yet.

ProRemote should work fine as far as working alongside Motormix and other control surfaces. I will have to test that when I get there!

One thing to note: ProTools only allows 4 MIDI style control surfaces and ProRemote (the full version) wants to use all four to give you 32
channels. You will have to compromise and share the 4 control surfaces with ProRemote and your other MIDI controllers like Motormix, etc...
This simply means ProRemote will be able to control less tracks simultaneously but you will still have access to all tracks from the remote (by
track shifting).
