Try checking to see if MIDI Server is running when you are reinstalling ProRemote...

HUI Communication error is usually caused by the MIDI driver not being able to connect to
ProRemoteServer. This usually happens because some startup process is starting MIDI server before
ProRemoteServer... I will try to fix this in my code seeing as I can't stop all these other companies from
breaking the rules with CoreMIDI...

I too am having this problem - I uninstalled a few times - made
sure I dragged the application to the trash and started again.
Am I to uninstall the application from the phone itself? Doesn't
seem that way but Im afraid to do that incase I have to pay for
it again!

Same problem here in Pro Tools. Keep getting the HUI error. Tried it in Ableton Live, and worked perfectly.

And I think I just worked out the problem, if it's of use to anybody.

I reinstalled it WITHOUT my MboxPro plugged in, and it now seems to be working fine!!

I wonder if MBoxPro keeps MIDI Server running while you have it connected. I can
imagine it would
do this if you had it selected for system audio as well (thru their infamous CoreAudio
driver).
